The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Here is my fave go-to recipe for THE best chocolate chip cookies. I thought I’d share tonight so you can make them this weekend! Try this then let me know when you do! It’s straight from the back of the Toll House chocolate chip bag, plus a little twist at the end that is a GAME CHANGER. 🧂🍪

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups (12-ounce package) semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Maldon sea salt flakes (or any flaky salt will do)

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto parchment paper on baking sheets

BAKE for 9 minutes or until they’re to your liking. I love soft cookies and Hank loves crispy so I do different times for the batches. ***Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle salt on each cookie.*** (this is the special touch that is my fave thing ever!) Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Then ENJOY!
