Good morning! Nothing like a random Monday morning to kick back off a LONG running favorite from my old blog- Currently posts. Are you ready? Let’s jump in. I’m currently…

Listening to

I have been on a major pop punk kick. I don’t know what it is- maybe the freshness of a new season and the sunshine, but I have been loving revisiting some of my favorites from back in the day. Old Blink 182 especially! And then I’ve been liking some newer stuff kind of in that realm- Mod Sun, Machine Gun Kelly, stuff like that. If you’re subscribed to my monthly newsletter I send out a new playlist every month. You can subscribe here to get May’s.

Loving

ALL the fun Spring clothes. Here are some picks for this week: Mother denim. Friends- these are worth the splurge. These jeans are all I wear now. They are the most flattering, most comfortable and I highly recommend them. Pair them with simple tees and easy sandals and you have my summer uniform. Some basics I love: Madewell tees, always. And I really like simple tees and tops from Z Supply. Other cute things: Sam Edelman Loraine loafers + AGOLDE Parker Vintage Cutoffs (longer length- and the Dee high waisted ones I mentioned last week are in that round up too!). Also, have you checked out Lack of Color hats? The Vienna, the Val, I want all of them. With my chest tattoo removal underway I need the shade more than ever! All of those items are in the Shopbop sale happening right now too.

Thinking about

My Dad. The three year anniversary of his passing is on April 22nd. Earth Day. I usually feel okay, just missing him in general but fine, but every so often I get hit with something- a memory floating to the surface, I’ll think I see him, I’ll smell his old cologne somewhere, I’ll be behind “his” truck, and it feels so fresh. I’ve heard this is how it goes whether it’s been 3 years or 33, and it really is the weirdest thing. I think I’m the saddest when we are in the HAPPIEST moments. Like, he should be here. He’s missing so much. And I am so sad about that.

Dreaming of

Vacations! Any kind. Just getting away for awhile. I came across this article about Southwest roadtrips and it made me want to take a long weekend in Sedona, which is very close to us. The article mentions Enchantment Resort which is one of my FAVES. Just reading it got me really excited about going there and I just messaged my friend like, WE NEED TO DO THIS! Have you ever been to Sedona before?

Watching

I go through periods of time where I’m reading for hours before bed OR I’m blazing through a show! I recently saw Ginny and Georgia on the front page of Netflix and decided to give it a go…and I loved it! Have you watched it yet? It’s a coming of age show but it was super appealing to me even at the ripe old age of 38! I devoured it in a few days- it’s good! It’s not going to change your life or win every award, but it’s amazing and I was so invested. I hope there is a second season! I’m also VERY excited that Handmaid’s Tale is coming back this month. Terrified but also so excitd!

Reading

I’m in a the middle of a couple books right now. First, Layla. I’m a little unsure about this one. It’s unlike most Colleen Hoover books I’ve read and it’s very weird, but I really want to keep reading, so there’s that! I’ll let you know what I think when I’m done. I’m also reading Fly Away by Kristin Hannah, the sequel to Firefly Lane. I have a big stack to work through this month, and I’ll share reviews when I’m done.

Okay, that’s it for me- how about you?

xoxo
