“He thinks we’re what we look like on the outside: nice Southern ladies. Let me tell you something…there’s nothing nice about Southern ladies.”

This book! What a strange, well-written, FUN story- I really enjoyed it! It’s the perfect weird, spooky book to read right now too. The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires is described as Steel Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes meets Dracula and I couldn’t agree more. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, but I was hooked from the beginning and read it in 2 days! Here’s a quick synopsis without giving too much away- the story is about a Southern wife and mother named Patricia, who belongs to a book club. A new man moves to their neighborhood, and when children start going missing, things start to get complicated and scary, with the book club is right at the middle of all of it. Parts are gory, parts are funny, parts are just so odd but all of it is engaging and I could not put this book down. I loved the writing and enjoyed the characters, and I bet you will too!
