A Double Birthday Weekend in Palm Springs

palmsprings

Palm Springs. Have you ever visited? It’s one of our favorite quick spots because it’s so close, but feels like a whole different world when we’re there. There’s really no place like it! It’s sunny and hot, and really feels like you’re taking a step back in time thanks to the abundance of mid-century design. You can check out some of our previous Palm Springs trips on my old blog- it’s definitely somewhere we always love visiting.

I was really looking forward to this trip because somehow a miracle happened and every single one of my college best friends was able to make it to California to celebrate Shirley and my birthdays! We’re spread apart- Illinois, Colorado, California and Arizona with 11 kids between us, so it’s always a feat when we can pull it off. And we did!

When we’re together our preference is always to rent a house- it allows us to be together the whole time, have common spaces to share, cook meals, and just enjoy each other as much as possible. Vacation Palm Springs hooked us up with an amazing home right in the heart of Palm Springs and we loved it! This is who we always rent through and it’s always been the best experience. This particular property had a great interior, fabulous backyard, and it was in the perfect location. You can see the house here and check out photos of the inside- I definitely recommend this rental for a getaway, and it’s definitely family-friendly too.

We filled up our four-day weekend with lots of pool time, good food, and some awesome outdoor workouts too. These girls have been my best friends since college, so when we’re together it is THE most comfortable, joyful time. They’re more my sisters than anything and the happiness I feel when we’re all in one place is one of my favorite things in the world.

The weekend went by far too quickly, as weekends with far-away loved ones often do, but we have another trip this Fall to look forward to, and then Alana’s bachelorette weekend and wedding! So much excitement on the horizon.

Let me know what questions you have about Palm Springs too- for this trip we mainly stayed in to take advantage of the pool and home, but I do have some recs if you need them.
