Halloween 2019
Even though Prescott is considered Arizona’s Christmas City, I swear it’s Arizona’s Halloween Town too! It’s the most festive place to be, and it’s always so much fun. This year we left behind the family costumes and and everyone just was whatever they wanted. To be honest, I don’t love dressing up anyway (I know, weird- because I love Halloween so much!), but most of all I am a big believer in the kids being whatever they want. When they were younger we could choose or guide them a certain way, but not anymore and I love that! Be free, kiddies! This year we had a fireman who was very set on being a fireman, a last-minute Mario, and an elated Princess Jasmine.
We always trick-or-treat in two spots- first on Mt. Vernon and then onto Park Ave. Both areas are closed down for trick-or-treaters and it really does feel like you’re in a Halloween movie! We start early- around 3:45pm, which I think is best for the kids since it gets dark so quickly. This year was awesome- the big candy excitement came from Kit Kats (Olive), Reese’s (Henry), and M&Ms (Charlie). Hank and I always steal a few and I go for Snickers and he’s a Reese’s guy. Yum!
We hope you had a happy Halloween too- here are some photos! xoxo
