Easter 2021

We had a great, low key Easter at my in-laws’ ranch here in town, and it was such a great time. My MIL always creates such special holidays and we all had a wonderful, relaxing day. Good food, family, and all the horses! So fun. I know anyone who has lost a parent can relate, but any holiday can sometimes be a little bittersweet without them here. This year was sad for me- sometimes I’m okay but other times I’m not- and this year in particular I just kept thinking about how much my Dad would LOVE seeing how big these kids have gotten. The fact that he never got to see Henry play baseball, or Charlie football, or go to a dance recital for Olive breaks my heart. And while we were all walking around the property visiting the horses I just kept thinking- he should be here. But- it’s also a great reminder to enjoy and soak up every minute with our loved ones, right?
