Read: Verity by Colleen Hoover

The other day I texted my friend Amy after she posted about a book I had just finished- I wanted to share in the sheer OH MY GOD we both had experienced from it (book review to come), and at the conclusion of our convo she recommended this book to me- Verity, by Colleen Hoover. She told me this was another one of those “can’t put down” novels and the moment we got off the phone I went and downloaded it.

And guess what? I stayed up for hours that night reading it cover to cover, once the kids were asleep. It was that good. It’s so well written, so suspenseful, and I bet you won’t be able to stop reading it either! It is truly compulsively readable, which is a description I’ve only reserved for a few deserving titles.

In a nutshell it’s about this writer who is in need of money and takes on the job of a lifetime. The entire story is about that job, what happens…and I know I’m annoying but I won’t say another word. It surprised me, it did not go where I thought it was going, and it was supremely entertaining. Warning- there are graphic parts and some of it is very upsetting- I was literally looking at the book with my mouth wide open like- “WAIT WHAT?!” but it’s all part of the experience.
